Music Parents’ Society will be offering several scholarships to graduating seniors who have been very active in the school music program throughout their years at Canyon/Creekside and Castro Valley High School. Families must join MPS by Oct. 31 in order for their seniors to be eligible for these scholarships.

In 2016, Board Member Robert Shedd established the Robert L. Shedd Music Major Stipend Award in the amount of $1,000.  Winners of the MPS scholarships are reviewed for intent to major in music in the fall.  Out of those who indicate such an intent. Mr. Shedd selects one student to receive the Music Major Stipend Award.  The certificate and acknowledgement letter is given to that student at the CVHS Senior Awards Assembly at the end of the school year  along with the MPS scholarships.

2016-2017 School Year Winners of a $300 Scholarship each:
Lotan Yeung, Nathan Roura, Andrew Thomas, Kian Pantley, Julee Ancheta, Griffin Beresini, Lindsey Guan, Kevin Tai, Zoie Sanders, and Ruby Welsh Ferreyra
